Introducing Dealerships v2

After a much antipicated wait, JG Dealerships v2 is now available!

This version is a full rewrite of the dealership system. The goal wasn’t just to add new features - it was about restructuring the system to be easier to manage, more flexible per location, and more practical for long-term server use.

System Structure & UI

The UI has been rebuilt with a more structured layout across public showrooms, employee tools, and admin panels. Staff-facing tools and admin tools are separated clearly.

Underneath that, the backend has been reorganised to make dealership behaviour configurable per location rather than globally. This allows different dealership types to coexist without workarounds.

Public & Player-Owned Dealership Types

The system supports two dealership modes:

  • Self-service dealerships allow unrestricted browsing and purchasing without stock limits.
  • Player-owned dealerships introduce stock tracking, employee roles, financing control, and reporting. Each dealership instance can be configured independently - categories, currencies, colour rules, delivery style, and interaction methods can all differ.

This makes it possible to run multiple dealership models on the same server without duplicating resources.

In-Game Dealership Creation

Dealerships can be created and edited entirely in-game through the admin panel. Interaction points, zones, display areas, and configuration settings can be adjusted without restart cycles. This is particularly useful when mapping new interiors, testing layouts, or running temporary dealership locations. The system is built so location management doesn’t require constant config edits.

Interaction Handling

v2 does not assume a single interaction style. Target systems, radial menus, DUI text prompts, and classic markers are supported. Interactions can be attached to spawned entities, existing map objects, vehicles, polyzones, or simple radius points. This keeps the dealership compatible with different server interaction standards without forcing structural changes.

Display Vehicles

Display vehicles are also managed in-game. Staff can place and reposition showroom vehicles directly. These displays can reflect live stock or be used as featured showcases. This removes the need to rely solely on UI previews and keeps the dealership physically grounded in the world.

Employee Sales Workflow

In player-owned dealerships, vehicle purchases can be handled by employees using the in-game tablet. From within the dealership, staff can:

  • Sell vehicles directly to players
  • Configure financing
  • Apply colour selection rules
  • Initiate test drives

Self-service purchasing remains available where configured, but the system supports staff-led sales for servers that prefer RP-driven transactions.

Stock Delivery Trucking Missions

Stock management can be configured in two ways:

  1. Timed automatic deliveries
  2. Active trucking missions

When trucking is enabled, ordered vehicles spawn physically on a trailer. Employees collect stock and return it to the dealership. Trailer capacity determines how many vehicles can be transported per run. Both systems use the same underlying stock logic.

Vehicle Colour Configuration

Colour control is now configurable per dealership. This allows you to create dealership locations with special colour options, or remove colour selection altogether at a police dealership. Options include:

  • Full RGB colour wheel access
  • Restricted RGB palettes
  • Defined colour ID lists
  • Support for special finishes including chameleon colours

Financing, Coupons & Custom Currency

Our advanced financing system from v1 remains fully configurable. With v2, we've also added coupon codes support & a custom currency API. This allows dealerships to accept alternative currencies such as VIP tokens or server-specific coins.

Staff Reporting

Player-owned dealerships include a management dashboard with sales reporting and coupon tracking. This provides visibility over dealership performance without introducing unnecessary overhead.

Performance

The rewrite includes backend restructuring to reduce unnecessary client load and improve efficiency. Despite adding more configuration flexibility and systems, the resource impact has been improved compared to v1.

Upgrading

JG Dealerships v2 is a completely free upgrade for existing Dealerships v1 customers, and JG+ subscribers.
